Michael P. Baranic

    Mr. Baranic is a shareholder and managing attorney of Gattey and Baranic, A Professional Law Corporation.  Mr. Baranic received his bachelor of arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Law and Society from the University of California, San Diego. He received his juris doctorate from the University of San Diego, School of Law.

     Mr. Baranic is General Counsel to Local 1613 (San Diego, CA), Local 2554 (El Centro, CA) and Local 2595 (Yuma, AZ) of the National Border Patrol Council; the Poway Federation of Teachers (Poway Unified School District); and the United Faculty of the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District.

    In addition to providing regular training seminars to union stewards and representatives for the firm's union clients, Mr. Baranic is also an adjunct professor with the San Diego Community College District's Labor Studies Program where he teaches Labor Law, Collective Bargaining, Negotiations, Grievance Processing and Arbitration Practice.

     Mr. Baranic has been a guest speaker and panel member for the State Bar of California, Labor and Employment Law Section Annual Conference; the Center for Collaborative Solutions Annual Labor-Management Conference and the State of California, Public Employment Relations Board Symposium.
