James M. Gattey, Retired

Mr. Gattey is a founding member of the firm, meeting the legal needs of San Diego area employees and employee organization for more than 40 years before retiring in 2008. Mr. Gattey received his bachelor of science degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley and a bachelor of laws from the University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law.

Mr. Gattey served as a guest lecturer on numerous occasions for the University of California's Continuing Education of the Bar Program and for Lorman's Legal Education, lecturing before audiences in San Diego, Los Angeles and Orange counties.

For more than ten years, Mr. Gattey also served as an adjunct professor for San Diego State University's Criminal Justice Administration Program and as a Judge Pro Tem for the Municipal Court of the San Diego Judicial District.

Mr. Gattey was also an adjunct professor with the San Diego Community College District's Labor Studies Program and an adjunct professor of law at the University of San Diego School of Law teaching Labor Law.

Mr. Gattey retired from the active practice of law in 2008.
